I order Readers Digest Large Print magazine for my 86 year old Mother, who just came home from rehab from pneumonia. After six week being waited on hand and foot, she came home depressed and confused. Her Dr. recommended this magazine, because she said it had short stories so she would not have to concentrate to hard and lots of jokes and laughter was the best medicine. The larger print was an added feature because of her poor eye sight.

Readers Digest Magazine has been a favorite periodical in my family ever since I can remember. My mother in law also enjoys this excellent publication, but with failing eyesight, has had to give up one of her most pleasurable pastimes. That is, until I was at a doctor's office, and viewed their copy of LARGE PRINT "Reader's Digest." I subscribed to this magazine for her as a Mother's Day present. Now, she too, can once again keep up with current events, read about the latest medical breakthroughs, and simply pine away her day reading relaxing articles. There aren't many publications that have enjoyed the success and longevity of this magazine, and it is due to their excellent journalism and panel of superb writers.

I ordered Reader's Digest Large Print for my wife who has been blind twice in the last four years due to diabetes. Now, after nearly eight hours of intensive surgery, she is able to read. She likes Reader's Digest for its many human interest stories and wholesome quality. Due to the price of a regular subscription, she had decided not to renew.

The Reader's Digest Large Print is a great subscription to have. It has great stories and I know that my guests enjoy reading it. The large print is especially good for the older patients who have poor vision. It is also beneficial for the adults over 40 who do not want to wear reading glasses. RD large print is wonderful for any eye doctor's office.

Reader's Digest Magazine is a top read for me every month --and the elderly friend I pass it on to after I've read it from cover to cover. Even if it weren't a Large Print magazine, I would still struggle through with my glasses on. I start reading a new issue by picking the topics that most interest me, and then I go back and read it from the beginning. I wonder how many people read it that way. Among my favorites are: the RD Living section, the Book Bonus section, and any news having to do with new medical discoveries; and, of course, the jokes. It would be worth subscribing to for just those sections.

I love the articles in Reader’s Digest magazine; they are well written and do more than just skim the surface. I particularly appreciate all the information about health, home and life issues. I have always loved Reader's Digest for their timely subjects and great variety of articles and stories. I always carry one to appointments, etc. I recently purchased the large print edition for my elderly mother and she has enjoyed it tremendously. However I have also found it pleasant. It is easy to read without my glasses and my eyes feel more comfortable. It still has all the great informative and interesting articles. It is truly well worth the cost. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to read.
